In the summer of 2018 I began learning to work with clay. This gallery is a partial catalog, in chronological order, of what I have produced since then.
(Unless otherwise indicated, all pieces were wheel-thrown from a dark-firing stoneware clay and reduction-fired to cone 10 in a gas kiln.)

Wide-mouth bottle (February 2022)
6.5" H. Purple over shino. This combination of glazes, applied quite thin, has produced some surprisingly attractive effects. The "golden" patches are very finely crackled and create depth and luminosity; and the combination of gold and blue reminds me of the color palette of a desert sunset.
